13 - The ancient slaughterhouse

On the third of August 1870 the building of the slaughterhouse outside the build-up area was approved and the selling of the house of the slaughterhouse was decided. Meanwhile the Roman door was demolished next to the houses leaning against the tower. It was built with raw materials from the river, specifically “the bisciaro”.

Today the ancient slaughterhouse is used for shows and exhibitions.
